On the main locker screen click on the “Lockers” tab at the bottom.  Then click on the “Locations” tab at the top.   The very top section of this screen is the Locker Creation/Deletion area.  This is a quick method to create or remove unassigned locker records.

Select the location by clicking on the  upside down triangle on the right side of the “Location” field.  A list of locations will drop below the field.  Select a location by clicking on it.  The selected location should now appear in the field.  There is some flexibility in assigning  the locker numbers and the quantity to setup.  Any combination of two of the three selections; Starting No.,  Quantity, and Ending No., may be used to assign the appropriate numbers.  Enter the starting number and the quantity, enter the quantity and the ending number, enter the starting number and the ending number,  or by entering just the quantity a starting number of 1 is assumed.  Next select the Use Code.  This field will list all of the Grades and Groups that have been setup in the system.  Click the triangle on the right of the field.  From the drop down list click on the desired selection.  The selection should be displayed in the field.  The Active Lock designates which out of the configured combinations is active on the lockers.  Either type in a number from 1 through 5 or click the spin control up and down to display the correct designation.  If this block of lockers needs to be shared between two people, click and place a check mark in the Share box.   When satisfied that all entry fields are as desired, click the “Create Lockers” button.   Upon completion of the creation process a summary information box will display.

The locker records have been created.  Now, the five combinations associated with each locker can either to be entered manually or imported electronically.  To import the data select the “Tools” tab on the bottom of the screen.  On top click on the “Import” tab.   The import screen will display.  Student information or locker combination information is imported with this screen.  Select the “Locker Combination Import” tab.   Be sure the page title displays “Locker Combination Import”.  Select the import file by clicking on the folder button on the right of the Import File Name field.  Select the folder and file in the pop up window.  Once the correct file is displayed in the Import File Name field, click the test import button.  Examine the data displayed in the test import window.   If it is not correct, the text file will need to be adjusted before proceeding.   If it is correct, close the window and click the import button.  An information summary will display at the end of the import.  The information imported is the locker number, locker location, the 5 combination sets, and the active combination  indicator.

The Locker Maintenance screen is displayed by clicking on the “Locker” tab located on the Locker screen.  Finding a particular locker can be done by entering the locker number in the “Find Locker No.” field.   The record order displayed in the grid is by locker number.

The locker record highlighted in the grid is displayed in the box below the grid.   In this box the editing takes place.  If there is a location , East, with a locker number 100 and a location, West, with a locker number 100, they will display next to each other based on the locker number, 100.  When a view of only East location lockers is needed, click on the triangle on the right side of the Display field.  A list will drop down. Select the desired view and the filter will be applied. If the location East is selected, then only the East lockers will display in the grid.

The navigation button may also be useful in moving from record to record.  When the desired record is found, click on the “Edit” buttons on the edit bar.  In the case of the locker combination sets, click field below the numbers (1,2,3,4,5)  enter the combination, press enter or the tab key to move to the next set.  Click the “Save” button on the edit bar to save the changes.  Repeat these steps to enter the locker combinations.
