Setup users

From the top menu bar, click on “Utilities.”  A menu will display.  Click on “Users.”   The user screen will display. Setup additional users by clicking on the “Add” button.  The “Add” button is located on the edit bar near the bottom of the Users screen.  Enter the “Login Name,” enter the “First Name,” enter the “Last Name”, check if the user has administrator privileges, and click on the “Save” button located on the edit bar. Set the password after the user has been entered and the user record saved.

If unsure which button does what on the edit bar, move the cursor or arrow over the buttons.  A speed tip or help phrase will display to identify the button’s function.  Setting up and maintaining the users are administrator privileges.  It is recommended that the “admin” password be changed at this time also.  When finished click  the Exit button.

Setup the grades

Make sure the Locker screen is displayed.  If not displayed, click the “File” menu item on the top menu.  Then click on “Locker” from the drop down menu.  Find the “Tools” tab on the bottom of the Locker screen.   Click on it.  Near the top of the Locker screen click on the “Grades” tab.  The Grades maintenance screen will display.  Click the “Add” button on the edit bar located near the bottom of the maintenance screen.  Enter the two-character code chosen for this grade, enter the grade title, assign a unique grade level by number, and the description of the grade as desired.  On the edit bar click the “Save” button.  Repeat this process to enter each of the grades needed for the students.

Each student must be associated with one of these grades.  Adjustments can be made to any record by finding the grade in the top grid, clicking on it, clicking on the “Edit” button in the edit bar, clicking on the field,  making the adjustments, and clicking
on the “Save” button.  A record may also be found by clicking on the navigation buttons located just to the side of the edit bar on the bottom of the screen.  Move the cursor or arrow over each button for a description of the button’s function. The functions are: first record, previous record, next record, and last record.  The edit bar and the navigation bar are the same on all screens within the program.
